Confirmation
If you were baptised as a child, your parents and godparents made baptism promises on your behalf. As a young person or adult, you may feel ready to personally affirm those promises and dedicate your life to following Jesus Christ. During a confirmation service, you affirm these promises for yourself. Your friends, family, and the local Christian community will be there to offer their support and prayers.
The bishop will place their hands on your head and pray for God’s Holy Spirit to grant you the strength and the commitment to live in God’s way for the rest of your life.
